Many people have blogged the importance of making your site load faster. In fact various tools & techniques are available online to make it happen. A fast loading site means your visitor doesn’t need to wait for the content he is “Searching” for. I found a tool online today called as Pingdom Tools and decided to put this site on test. Surprise , Surprise it took around 4 seconds to load the entire set. Do check your site today and let me know how much time does your site take to load ?

Juts a quick post to let you know about some activity over at our good friends WPThemesPlugin.
I was recently approached by WPThemesPlugin to see if I’d be interested in a quick Q & A session, which of course I was more than happy to do. It’s just a couple of quick questions based around WordPress if your interested you can take a look here. - I’m always more than happy to take part in an interview or Q&A session so if anybody has any questions for me don’t hesitate in asking.
They have also released a new free WordPress theme, you can see a screen shot of it at the bottom of this post. It’s a pretty nice looking theme so go check out the live demo.
Speaking of free themes BlogCut have a new free WordPress theme in the works which I know you are all going to love. It’ll be released tomorrow afternoon so don’t forget to pop back and take a look as this one really is nice.

ReviewMe.com Affiliate Program Launched
I’m sure by now you all with have heard about ReviewMe, a division of Text Link Ads, but just in case you haven’t reviewme is basically a service for providing sponsored blog posts. As an advertiser you can pay to have your site or service reviewed by bloggers, as a blogger you can be paid to write a post reviewing the advertisers site or product.
Well, ReviewMe recently launched an affiliate program which can allow bloggers to earn $25 for each advertiser they send to ReviewMe. Whats great about this affiliate program is that you can place an affiliate button on your blog that will advertise your own blogs listing while using your referral ID so you can advertise your reviewing service and get paid for doing it!
As you can see BlogCut isn’t using ReviewMe, this is because I don’t believe BlogCut is the type of blog that should be doing paid reviews. So what type of blogs should be using ReviewMe? Personally I wouldn’t recommend any personal blogs join up to this program, if however you run a blog that provides information about a specific niche or market and often review sites and services in your posts anyway then this could be a great way for you to earn some extra money especially with the new affiliate scheme.
If you have used ReviewMe either as a blogger or an advertiser and would like to share your success/failure stories with other bloggers we would love to hear from you so get in touch either by leaving a comment or by sending an e-mail, if I get enough responses I’ll be doing a round up what you all think of the service later in the month.
On another note you may have noticed this is the first post in a little while on BlogCut, I apologize for that and can assure you that I will be back to posting regularly starting from this week.

Anyone who has been blogging for a reasonable amount of time will be very familiar with these sites by now as they are a great resource for all bloggers no matter what type of blog you run, every blogger should be using these sites. The three sites are of course; technorati, mybloglog and feedburner.
At a first glance you may be wondering whats so great about these sites and why you need to sign up, lets have a look and see what each site has to offer:
1. Technorati (link)
Technorati is one of the most popular blog related websites out there and with good reason. Technorati allows users to find your blog or post through the use of tags. So when you make a post on a specific topic Technorati can help people to find your post. If your post is popular enough this can definitely create an increase in traffic and provide a lot of return readers as Technorati also allows users to “favorite†a blog, if a user favorites your blog each time you make a new post they will automatically see a link to your post on the homepage which will encourage them to take a better look.
Technorati also provides a pinging service so you can keep people up to date on your new posts, again this another must for all bloggers.
Once you have signed up for Technorati don’t forget to favorite BlogCut!
2. MyBlogLog (link)
MyBlogLog is a great way to increase traffic to your blog, it’s always a good way to find out more about who is actually reading your blog. MyBlogLog is especially great if your a blogger that enjoys reading lots of different blogs.
MyBlogLog has a feature which allows you to view who has recently visited your blog, you can then view their profile and in turn visit their blog. You can add people as contacts as well as join communities which is a great way to find other bloggers who share your interests and view blogs similar to yours. As you are doing other people will be doing the same and in turn visiting your blog.
Although the site design does let its self down I would still highly recommend every blogger to sign up at MyBlogLog as it really can be a great environment and you can also join up with BlogCut’s Community!
Technorati and MyBlogLog are both great ways to get your name out there, to make your blog accessible and to basically socialize and connect with other bloggers.
3. FeedBurner (link)
FeedBurner is an excellent way for you to keep track of people who have subscribed to your blogs RSS feeds. You can view how many people are currently subscribed to your feed and will also provide better options for the people who subscribe to your feed through it. Feeds are a very underrated aspect of a blog by a lot of bloggers which is why I would recommend FeedBurner to everyone. You can view BlogCut’s feed by clicking the RSS Icon (where it says ‘Feed’) on the left menu.
